Hey every one I have a friend I'm posting for he has a 75 gallon stable tank Salinity is 1.024 nitrate is 5-10 at the highest on the day of water changes phosphate is .08 to .16 he has AI sol for lighting and he runs them about 50% white and about 80% blue
He has a patch of star polyps that were doing well growing for 3 months and one day (about a week ago) they stopped opening he has a Rbta near them but it could only touch a small part of the colony if flow hit it just right would that make the whole colony close up?
Thank you to any one who can help out with this issue

It may be from the anem, which will kill the GSP. Just move one or the other and it will recover and be fine. Mine was out of my tank for 15 mins in a storage container and has been thru para guard and praziquantel. Point is you literally can't kill the stuff

I love these because you really get your money's worth. It grows faster than a Taro Tree sometimes. In my experience they love bright light. Thought I killed the one I have now by dipping in fresh water to kill the Algae. I did not see a polyp for weeks until I turned down the blue. The pic seems a little dark though.
