Starboard or Paint for BB build?

I am moving in two weeks and want to go bare bottom on my new set up. Which would you do?

1. Paint the bottom white or sand color (underside of tank, not inside the tank), or

2. Put in a layer of Starboard.

I've had bb almost ever since I've started, my experience the bottom will eventually be covered by either corals or algae (in my case, mostly coraline). I've had experience with starboard, painted bottom, and last couple time untouched. For me there's no point spending extra money on starboard unless you're worried about tank cracking because of rocks falling.

I just converted to BB and I used starboard, the real stuff from King.

I love it. Personally, I did not like the look of glass on the bottom, but that is because I have a lower euro brace and it was not constructed (silicon) as cleanly as the upper euro bracing. I did use a filler piece of starboard for the gap between the euro brace and the bottom.

Good luck.

I'm thinking I may spray paint the bottom with krylon textured stone paint. It looks like gritty sand. Only down side is that the glass inside the tank will still be reflective, which is what i think makes bb look unnatural...decisions decisions

true, most of the time will be covered up by coraline anyway. How to avoid rocks falling though?
