Starburst montipora

I have this, it's very hardy. The red gets more intense with high light. Lower light the red pales. It does grow slower than other montis i have kept.

I have one also and looks just like 79choppedr's pics. It's a slower grower than my other caps.

I have what's turning into a football sized colony and it's one of my favorite corals. Really easy to keep it's been with me through a few crashes and 90 degree water when I moved once, the only thing that seems to give it issues is when the magnesium gets too low. They can start spontaneously getting green pigment infections as well. It grows crazy fast in my tank for some reason like to the tune of 1/4" or so a week, here's one of the grafts only a couple months between each of the pics.

Here's how the grafts start on some of the frags, once they show green I pull them off the mother colony and glue them down but I've been slacking and the mother colony has all kinds of random green dots these days haha

Here's one with one polyp in the middle starting to get the pigment infection, my mother colony's underneath that thing's massive :D

Those look awesome! Thanks for sharing. I wonder what the difference is between the ones that are slow growers and yours?

I have it and it's grown from silver dollar size to 10" round in 15 months. It's in high light and high flow. At first I was excited about the fast growth, but now it's just obnoxious and blocking light to corals underneath. I recently trimmed back about 2"
