96"X130" is as big as the Starphire comes
Starphire glass
PPG will resume production in January of its popular ultra-clear Starphire glass, unavailable after it closed its Perry, Ga., specialty glass plant in 1998.
"This will actually be a ââ"šÂ¬Ã‹Å“renewedââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ product," Leggett said. It will be made on a conventional float glass line at the Carlisle, Pa., glass plant.
"We will be able to give the industry what we could not provide out of our Perry, Georgia, specialty glass plant...a reliable supply of this premier product," he noted.
Starphire glass will be available in thicknesses from 2.5 to 12 millimeters.
UltraWhite low-iron glass is available in thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 15 mm and sizes up to 130ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ x 204ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚Â. Guardian has implemented a regular production schedule to manufacture fresh UltraWhite glass to meet any construction schedule ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarter.
