Starfish

Brittle stars and serpent stars are pretty much the only ones which are appropriate. Generally the rest have specific diets which can be very difficult to meet in the home aquarium, and most eventually die from starvation.

I have a sand sifting star. As the name implies, he keeps the sand sifting and everything in the tank gets along with him and he with them.

" Sand sifting stars " are poor additions. Especially if you have a good functioning sand bed. They eat the sand bed infauna which makes it live, and they can do it fairly quickly. Then they die a long slow death from starvation. It can take up to a year for this to happen. Usually you first notice limbs missing.
