Well for a little back ground I have sooo many tanks i cant keep track.. i get bored and switch it up. But i have finaly sucked it up and purchased a brand new tank for ourselves first time ever for me. its a 40 breeder 36lx18wx16h rimless 3/8 starfire. the over flow houses a 1 1/2 drain and a 3/4 return. the over flow is set up for a peninsula style display. The grainte that will act as the top of the stand for the tank i got from a freind after caching in all my favours and sighning my life over to him lol. the pic doesnt do it justice the colors on it are like nothing you ever see. For flow in the tank im heading out this week to purchase two mp10w es's (i dont know what kind of return pump yet) for lighting I have a 36inch tek 6 bulb fixture i reallyyyyyyy like the vetrex l.e.d lamp but dont know. as for a sump i have a 100 gal stock tank i plan on using for live rock, a 90gal mrc acrilic sump (my baby from a previous setup that i had) and im going to have a 65gal refugium ohhh yes and all this will be one floor down in the basment. I hope to have the basement cleaned up a little this week and I should be able to get some pics for evey one of the equipment.
if any one has any thoughts questiosn or opnions please let me know now since nothing it set in stone and i rather do this build once

thats also up in the air i have a Mrc 3 with a upgraded riser and collection cup, also i have a the largest octupus skimmer available not recirculating model. orrrr im looking at a cone skimmer.... im thinking that the dual down draft may just me wayyyy to much and the octupus may not be enough to keep the sps happy.... any ideas on a skimmer >???

Well finally picked and pulled the trigger on a lamp to light the tank. Its a Aqua illumination sol blue two module lamp. To say this lamp is bright is a understatement beyond words and the control ability is beyond any other lamp on the market.

dont know yet just finishing the drawings for the stand and havent even thought about how to hang them yet im going to run them length wise on the tank since i only plan on having a open concept look to the tank with a few peices of rock in the center of the tank

Well another trip to oakville and I brought home a pair of Mp10ES W's they will be mounted on both sides of overflow I figure with these and the return pump i should have no problem keeping every thing suspended in the water column.

i dont know if i should say thank you or ...
I have had so many tanks over the years and I was always upgrading stuff. This issssss the last tank im setting up for years to come. I would rather be able to turn turn my equipment up and down depending on needs rather then purchasing new stuff down the road. I dont want the equipment to hinder my chances of keeping a jaw droping sps tank i feel that i my self will hinder that enough lol...

Nice tank! is the tank from cadlights? I see that they offer a 40 gallon rimless now. I love the tank and am looking to get one as well. I have a 93 gallon right now, but I will be moving a couple times in the next couple of years and a 40 to me is perfect to move around. Not to big, but not to small that I can't keep some nice fish and corals.
