Thanks Keith.

I would be more than happy to help you with the project, but it might have to wait till after the holidays.

That isnt a problem Steve, it works as it is now, just doesnt look so pretty, I can wait til the holidays calm down and well of course let you finish your project first :p

Here are a few up dated pics, the exciting stuff is getting underway.

Why build the tank into the wall and put cabinet doors on the front of it ? Just sort of seems to be defeating the look of it when you can access it from the back with a door...... JMHO

It's nice though no doubt and the quality of workmanship shows !

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I put the cabinet doors on just to make the access to the tank easier. The orginal plan I had in my head was with out them, but as I put the plumbing together(haven't posted that part of the set up yet) and the rest of the set up that will go inside the closet having access from the front became apparent. I also thought it would be hard to work in the tank just from the back, espically since the tank is only a foot wide. Trust me when you see the completed project you will understand why.

wow just found this as I am looking around for ideas for my own DIY cabinet on my 125 reef and I must say looks really nice.

What can I say.......

Wow!

You must be Psyched :eek1:

Looking forward to a meeting at Steve's place! :D

With the busy time of the year there really hasn't been lots done. I started to install some of the equipment. I'll post a pic later tonight. The rock is still curing in the pool and is looking good.

I have decided to change the tank from a 38 to a 58. I will need to build out the stand a little, but no big deal.

Good decision to go for 20 extra gallons! Bigger is always better! Especially when trying to cram coral in a smaller tank! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Here is a pic of the new 58 gal. I got it from Ryan at Country Living Supply. He gave me a great deal, thanks Ryan. Hopefully I will have water in it shortly.

I saw that on the floor and was wondering who he ordered it for. Thats a nice size tank with the depth. Should look great!
