Start up help

Well i did a few post about 9 months ago about starting a reef and never have yet.wife did a freshwater tank with live plants.well i do not like it.

So looking to do reef tank again for a winter project.have a 4 ft X 2ft wide X 30 inches deep 150 gallon tank that i want to convert.

So looking for help on doing it right.Would like to find some area people to visit.see how their tank is set up and learn from them before starting to buy anything.I live in Forreston but driving to Rockford or where ever is not a problem.Would like to see different set ups from no sump to under stand sump to big basement sumps or ???.

mostly interested in learning corals with only a few fish.Please send me an email or PM as i want to get started soon (also ideas for family christmas presents)

i promise to be nice.

maybe something about myself.I guess you can say i am into koi ponding big time and we do show or koi at 2-4 shows a year. so when i jump in i jump in.i do not want to go through that should have done different from the start and waste money and kill things do to my faults.internet can be nice place to learn but nothing beats live interaction with people.as you can see i am not a typer so talking and seeing is what a true learning expierence is for me.just seeing things can bring on more questions.

so hoping to hear from some people with different set ups.
