Started running GFO today

I added some GFO to my sump today. I am a little nervous about using it. I have heard it can cause problems if you drop your phosphate levels to quick or to low. It seems to really help keep algae under control so I am giving it a try. I keep checking my tank to see if my acros are melting! Probably takes longer than 20 minutes to work. Anything I need to watch for when using GFO?

If its like any of the other phosphate removers if it is moved or tumbled around to much it can break down and get all in your tank

RTN is a sure sign of using too much or too quickly.

They can also cause RTN if not rinsed properly before use. Apparently the new pelleted versions work better:
