So I decided that since I'll will be moving in less than a year I will start this hobby again with a 10gal. I know I am being lazy.. I went tonight and got water, and about 3 pounds of live rock. I had about 10 pounds of dry rock super sealed in a bag from the last time I was in the hobby. (Went to nursing school :celeb3: , so I never had time) So I got every thing set up. I will be getting lighting here soon this is just the stupid hood lighting that comes with the tank.... I'm thinking this light https://www.marineandreef.com/Nova_x2_Nova_T_5_Nova_T5_Current_USA_Nova_T5_Lighting_s/295.htm What do you all think? and should I keep it with no sand or should I get some?

Added sand..... I have to redo the aquascape.... don't like it now with the sand... I added two hermit crabs and two nar snails.. AND I got the current usa compact lighting.. 2x40 .... do you guys think that will be good lighting for this tank?

Looking good- I like the tank better with the sand. Maybe when you re-do your rock work you can try and move the heater lower in the tank so that the rock hides it... might help clean up the look of the tank a little.

What do you plan to stock?

I have not thought alot about what's going in the tank yet because if I do my patience will take a nose dive..... LOL .. I'm trying to go as slow as possible... I really love zoanthids.. just not sure yet about what fish....any suggestions... I have rearranged the rocks and I had another heater that is only about 6 inches long and hid it behind the rocks... I am thinking about putting the heater the opposite way so the wire is kinda hidden with the intake of the filter..Here's a updated pic..

Looks good. A goby would be a good choice for the fish.

Also, I'm jealous that you're so close to Salty Critter. It's a 1 hr 20 min trek for me.

Dang where are you located at?
It really is an awesome store...... When I first started out in this hobby the owner had the business in his basement... I remember when I first went to his house I thought what the heck is he grown down there cause all the tank lights were shinning out of his basement window.... Thought for a minute I was at a grow house... LOL .... All of the people that work there have always been really eager to help you out and teach you things.. and I don't ever feel stupid asking questions. They actually tell you the truth that it might not be a good buy for you tank.... I could go on and on about them...

The question is what type of goby... I had a sand sifting goby in my 55gal I had and I hated it... it was not a very nice fish to have... I spent most of my free time basting the rocks... hated it...

Here's an updated pic changed the aqua-scape....

No problem recall was about a year ago but a lot of people don't know about it. I only found out a couple months ago. I think they still send out VisiTherms as replacements. Not as discrete as the black stealths but they seem reliable enough so far.
