Starter Reef Tank

What's guys? I have a reef tank that i purchased used, it has live rock sand and a few fish and a cleaning crew. It's been about 3 weeks and I purchased some schooling fish and they all died. I tested the water and it was fine. Why do you thing they died? Also how can I tell if the skimmer is working?

I think you need to post this in the New to the Hobby forum. Also read the stickies at the top of that forum.

When you repost the question there post all of the specifics about your tank and what the exact water parameters are. Just saying the water is fine means nothing. Need specifics like what you tested for and what test kits you used.
