Looking for the best skimmer for under $500 for my 220g reef tank. I was considering the Euro-Reef RS-250 Protein Skimmer , but thought I'd see if anyone had any recommendations!
Thanks

I believe the RS series only goes up to the RS-250 model though....so I am not sure what they consider a heavily stocked tank.

they just stepped those up to a 350, a 450 and a 1000, a 4000 and are working on a 10K.

From Euro-Reef:
RS-450: 30" tall, 10" diameter. Estimated Street Price is $798 +/-.
2 x SP5 (GX6000) pumps with Euro-Wheel impeller
Each pump pulls about 19lpm air with the Euro-Wheel. That's a total of 2300 lph

RS350 will be ready to test tomorrow... Estimated Street Price is $698 +/-

the RC 4000

the 10K is gonna make that one look small :)

as with most all their large models they're gonna be special order in most cases. on the 4th of this month they had the one testing and 3 others in the building stage.

they are running a ReeFlo Hammerhead on them

With the Pin-Wheel, the motor in the parallel position, and a 45º ell on the outlet, it pulls 5603 LPH @ 2.8 amps. The foam head is more stable and turbulence is good. Without the 45º ell, it pulls 5943 LPH @ 2.8 amps.
