Have you tried looking into the nano cubes like what I had at my house? They are prob. a little more than you are wanting to spend at the moment (I think the 24gal like mine is approx. $300), but they come almost ready to go. All you need is substrate and live rock. They already have the lighting, cooling fans, filter system, pumps, everything you need. Best value for the money. Besides, betime you get everything you need for a scratch built 10gal nano, you will prob have spent close to $300. Just a thought.
