Dano, you an inspiration to a noob such as myself that is setting up is first 90g! GREAT JOB!

I've read you're entire thread and one question I have which I don't remember seeing anyways is regarding the fans you have hooked up to cool the lights... Do you have them blowing across the bulbs or exhausting the heat?

Thanks much!

The fans blow inward across the bulbs.

One reason is to keep the end caps cool. The lights will perform better.

Another reason is the fans will only last about a year blowing inward due to the saltwater. If you blew the air out they wouldn't last long at all.

Wow.......Simply amazing!!! I just got finished reading this entire thread and the progress and all the detail you have put into documenting the tank and its coming of age is very impressive. Im going to tag along and hope oneday to have a DT as impressive as yours

Thanks everyone for all the compliments. The last three years have had it's ups and downs but the outcome has been worth it.

To all the people who are just getting started. Don't ever get discouraged if problems happen because they will but there is always a fix for what ever problem you run into. Feel free to ask me questions as you go through your own journey of this wonderful hobby.

I was wondering why did you went with the dosing pumps instead of the kalk and calcium reactor. Is it better and more beneficial? Also, I see that you have the tunze osmolator for top off. In the pass few years, has you ever had any problems with this top off causing a flood? Thanks.

Great Thread

Great Thread

Great thread Dano & Tank. I just started my thread for my 90g build about a week ago, so I'm several years behind you - but this is great inspiration!
