Starting a tank, need some advice

An RV4 in 40 gallon tank is enough flow if you keep it close to the maximum power.Light is verry important if you plan to keep sps then i would reccomend T5HO lamp.If you plan to keep only LPS and softies maybe with a few sps that arent too sensitive then you could go with the leds .A clown fish payr and a six line will get along but you cant add another fish after becaause the six line becomes too agresive(maybe a goby wont bother the six line togh). An anemone will move and will sting and kill your corals if she touches them with the tentacles.Better get somme LPS(torch, hammer corals) that have the anemone look instead of an anemone. The clowns however could stress the torch coral too much until it dies if they decide to host it.

You're right that the sixline would be aggressive, but a pair of clowns would be very very aggressive and they would want to control around 35 gallons of space in the tank

the wrasse would be the last fish you want to add to the tank. the absolute last. since your new to the hobby I suggest the blue Chromis and a lawnmower Blenny. be sure to have a clean up crew established before adding fish. and I've been running a single voyager 8 powerhead and my corals look amazing for a 6month reef tank. Will be investing in a protein skimmer soon. algae driving me nuts

Again I don't recommend the blue chromis as they are prone to disease and will fight if you get more than one. A cleanup crew is entirely unnecessary, especially for new tanks. It's best to wait until the tank is mature before adding anything that grazes on algae/detritus

Never have had that issue with A percula or A ocellaris pairs in any of my systems (65, 210, 30, and now 80)

My single A. ocellaris is pretty aggressive and has taken over a good chunk of my 55 gallon tank. He'll bully some fish but not others. Seems to depend on the species. Regardless the general consensus is that clownfish are aggressive. They are a type of damsel, after all
