Asking here since there isnt much on the back of the package for directions and I dont want to do something stupid.
I've got a phosban 150 and a bag of biopellets. I'm doing this because during my tank transfer I had to drain and restart the refugium which hasnt fully kicked in yet. With my current fish load my nitrates are hovering around 8 ppm. I'd like to get these down as much as possible. This isnt a new tank setup, tank and LR have been cycled from the previous tank, it's just that my fuge isnt consuming as much just yet.
I'm running GFO and carbon through the BRS double reactor. I assume that during this I should remove the GFO and keep running carbon, or is it a good idea to keep GFO going?
Do I need to rinse the pellets before I put them in the reactor? Or is that like the live sand thing where you dont want to rinse the live sand to remove any bacteria.
