Starting up a 720 Gallon and seeking suggestions in Miami!

nice! but I meant the internet cable. didn't see you wire it in. I think the new APEX won't have connection issue. older Apex sucks on wireless

slief showed those nice looking 3D printed tablet mounts. I might go for one. looks very clean with it displaying on the tank.

Yes the new Apex is WiFi. I have the Amazon fire for display. I'll likely keep that away from the aquarium. Once the tank is done I have to build a new piece of furniture that will match the woodwork of the aquarium. I purchased this drawing to put across from the tank. It will go above the new custom furniture where the record player will lay.

Don't need to plug everything onto it. Just some stratigic pumps. perhaps 1 vectra or powerhead. Don't forget vectra need the booster cable.
It's always something you can play around with while your setting up and letting it cycle. Cut power and see how long it will power a few pumps. Long enough for you to get home and fire up generator. Our power Co is nice enough to have a power out text alert you can sign up for your home address.

I was thinking one mp 40 on the 220 and the mp60 on the 720. I'll try that out. Do you think the pumps would be fine with the generator I had bought? Or would it fry the pumps.

Get a ups and plug that into generator. Then everything else into ups. It will clean up the power so you won't fry stuff.

Space is tight for the UPS. I had given that thought before but the space below is ultra tight with all the equipment. One of the disadvantages of having an island tank and no basement below. Question with the ecotech battery back up domyou keep the back up connected directly to the pump always? I would assume so right?

Yep keep them plugged into battery backup. Only pull ups out if your using generator

So once I arrive I leave Battery backup connected so it recharges and plug the pumps into a regular outlet or take the ecotech ups off completely?

Bipass your eb8 and plug essentials directly into ups. return and possibly powerhead into the ups and charger for battery backup.

Pedro is a beast. OCD is a good trait when you make monster tanks. Very detailed. Proof is in the build. Helped me pick out equipment and design.
