Startup and reset issues with new Wireless module

Just upgraded two MP40's to MP40-W's. One started up and reset fine (followed the FAQ). The other one isn't cooperating.

Working driver does the following:

1. Plug in power source.
2. Driver box flashes a few colors, then lights solid green.
3. Pump starts up, stays constant.
4. I reset the pump. Everything works as it should. Slave/master settings have not been assigned at this point.

This is good. Here's the problem with the second pump:

1. Plug in power source.
2. Driver box flashes colors, then lights solid green for a moment.
3. Without any further intervention or tinkering, the green starts blinking in this order - Green (pause), Red (one blink), Green (several blinks), Blue (two or three blinks), White (pause), repeat.
4. Pump will run, stop, run, stop, run, stop. This is a dead stop, not a pulse.
5. If I try to reset the unit, it will flash colors, then pause at red for five-eight seconds, then flash red/white. No blue.
6. Pump will not run at this point.

The weirdest thing is that I was dealing with this problem, left it alone for half an hour, came back and the pump reset like normal. When I tried a redundancy test (unplugged power source, reconnected, then attempted a pump reset), it went back to the problem described above. The working driver had no problems with the redundancy test.

If it matters, I WAS having problems with the pump prior to installation of the driver. It would constantly shut off and the overheat LED would be lit. Not sure if that was a pump issue, or a driver issue.

Please advise and thank you.

Okay, update.

I've figured out how to stop the startup issues and keep it at the constant green mode (played with the speed dial).

Now here's the problem, I can get a proper reset all the way up until holding MODE til the pump starts. Pump will start, but will revert back to:

Sounds like this one needs to come in for service. Since you state you were having problems prior to the upgrade, send the entire unit to Icecap 9B South Gold Drive Hamilton NJ 08691. We will inspect it and correct any problems.

One thing to check. I had this exact same baffling problem and finally figured out that I had the offending pump plugged into a "controlled" outlet on my power strip. So when the master pump pulsed, it was changing the draw and affecting the current going to the problem pump. Once I plugged the "bad" one into a different power plug, it started operating normally.

This is an older power strip used for computers that has a master plug, 3 switched (controlled) plugs, and one unswitched plug. I had the master Vortech plugged into the master plug, and the problem unit plugged into one of the switched plugs.

Sounds bizzare I know, but what led me to that was the fact that the power supply light also blinked.

Well, I figured I would mention it just in case. I was out of my mind over the behavior of that pump.
