Really I guess you shouldn't of posted the first post now should you.....There was no need to post that in the first place. You dont see us going around to other forums and trying to find things about other people and posting it on here or there.

You putting postings up like that it has turned into CL.

But you also come into "OUR" club board and start throwing stuff around for CRS, but we dont bash you for it and we dont bash or attack other people for it either. That is a Lame statement.

I stoped there last Friday for salt on my way home from work..I was there looking at livestock for 20mins without anyone asking if I needed any help...and you have to be kidding if you think they have better corals...They have more larger pieces of LPS such as FS, hammers, and brains, and lots of mushrooms, but nothing I concidered worth buying. Their SPS are all mostly brown and most have signs of RTN....and they don't offer frags, as such they don't have anything I could put in my tank. The quality of the corals, and the service you get at Your Reef

I think what your remarks since then have demonstrated is that you are neither a friend nor supportive.

A rant was not my original intent, and I never meant to imply that Pico did wrong. Honestly, I was commenting on the free advertising -- he should be getting commissions for his effort.

Also -- I don't have anything bad to say about the roseville store, but I was taken back by the paranoia.

I just think the topic of someone trying to help a person that posted on where to get PE Mysis, which inturn he does but it just happens to be where he works is soooooo trivial, and definately not worth a thread that just has the potential to create animosity,misinterpretation or offense, than any benefit, let alone knowledge to be gained.

Free advertisement seems to be a real hang up of yours. But youve made it quite clear that you support the Coral Reef Shop, but the only difference between you two is someone asked him where to get some stuff,and Pico had nothing but genuine intentions in doing so. And the main instigator even apologized for his behavior which speaks volumes of the integrity of the thread and all of it's posters.

In all honesty though Ost doesnt hold a candle to any of the stores mentioned, as the last post duec22 made was my exact same experiences and personal gripes as well; for the last 3 times Ive visited the store within this past year. The only advantage that Ost has that is a competitive edge is there drygoods, but with the prices of gas going up and the time and hassle it is to get there makes that advantage meek IMO.

I think we are all sooo misinterpreted here. We're not a bunch of blind yourreef crooneys were just speaking on personaly experience which happens to be all good, good for us, and good for John the owner. Coral Reef Shop is a fine store but just hasnt been there as long or created alot of bonds with the club and its members, not to say that they cant be made, just arent there yet. I know I had no qualms about going there and giving an unbiased opinion, and I did just that so how do I fit into your theory? I am a member....

Quite honestly, I don't "support" any stores. I'm in it for myself. I go where I get the most for my money and where I'm not wasting my time looking at the same old stuff.

Didn't really want to get into this discussion and I know that a lot of good things have been said about Sacramento's newest store.

I too am a MARS member from Lake Tahoe and yesterday I had a list of things to take care of in Sacramento, one of them to stop by The Coral Reef store.

Guess what? Closed on Tues/Weds, maybe it said Weds/Thurs, but I was quite disgusted that I spent my valuable time to drive out of the way to a store that was closed.

I am a self employed businessman and I let my clients know that I am available seven days a week, twenty four hours a day. I am shocked that someone could think that they can run a profitable retail business closed eight days a month. I can only guess what their prices could be with that type of schedule.

I don't want to hear that I should have called first to see if they were open. That is B.S. If you don't have the capital to stay open when it is slow, you won't be around for long, guaranteed.

Guess what I did....gave Your Reef my money. No desire to go back to Coral Reef Store.

If you want to make it personal I can show you just how old I am! I'm trying to be civil so I won't be banned but your really trying my patience. you must be talking about a different store, because coral reef shop isn't closed 8 days a month.

Brian, this is where I was at:

6630 Madison Ave. Suite A · Carmicheal, CA 95608

Right on the door, their hours were posted and they are closed two days a week. There was someone in the store cleaning tanks on Wednesday, but had no interest to speak with me when I was at the door, store lights off all tank lights off except the cube tank in the middle of the store at approximately 1:00.

Closed two days a week equals eight days a month, right?

That would be the math I come up with...useing just a generic 4 week month. Could be more depeding on when the month starts...Example they would be closed 10 days this month.
