Steel stand builders

Just weighing options. Who here builds and/or knows someone who can build a steel stand? What's the price difference between a steel stand vs a basic wooden stand?

Tank I'll need it for is 54 x 40, and I'd like the stand to be 30" tall
 
I'm having one of my co-worker building me a metal stand. I'll be picking it up this weekend. PM me if you want his contact.
 
I have a welder friend in Santa Ana that does really nice work and does a lot of custom fabrication for my business. His work is top quality and reasonable, however sometimes he gets very busy. He can get it powder coated, but I an not convinced that is the best coating myself for our application. I bought a used steal stand and it had some rusty areas under the powder coating that you could not see because of the coating. I found the rust, as I striped the coating. I added brackets to the stand, so I would not have to drill any holes in it to hang lights and other equipment. to do so I needed the coating removed in those areas. I ended up having the whole thing stripped and painted it myself. There are threads on what to use for coating steal stands in the DIY forum.

Laverda -- thanks for the information. I will look up in the DIY section and see what alternatives to powder coating. As for your welder friend... if you can PM me his name and email address I'll send him an email

I have a metal stand its 6 feet long and 30 wide. its stands at 42 inches tall
Ill sell it for $300

I had my 225g before. i upgraded my tank and got a new new set up.
Ive had this in my garage and used it as a storage bin to put stuff on top lol.
its powder coated too. and its comes with light rails.

photos??? i was looking for 6 feet by 2 feet just to make things flush but its all good i can deal with the extra room i guess
