Steel stand size

Here is our new stand. It is 96"L x 36"W x 32" H, it is constructed from 2"x2"x.125" steel tube. It is out being powder coated this week. It will be done in a graphite grey. It will be the stand for our new tank 96x36x30, approx 450 gallons. I mitered the corners @ 45 degree angles so there are no open ends. I will be placing 3/4" marine grade plywood and 1/2" pink foam board over the stand. This will be an in-wall project.

Awesome! With those center supports it definitely isn't going anywhere. I take it you also have a fish room?

Not at the moment, I will be building one soon. I have much to do and not a lot of time at the moment. My current tank has a seam at the top that is splitting. I wanted to upgrade the size and place the new tank in the basement in the future, however due to the split seam, the future is sooner than I thought. The new tank should be completed by the end of next week or so.

Here is a shot of the sump (not completed yet) it's 72"x36"x20"

How thick is your wall thickness? And are all of you welding yours together?

Thinking about one for my 120g/180g.

That's why I figured you had a fish room; that's not fitting under your stand. :)

xtrstangx - I don't know my wall thickness. I welded mine myself, but maybe I should have gone with steel tubing larger than 1". I'm going to stick with it though.
