Steel Stands for Large Reef Tank in Chicago Area?

Can anyone point me to a Chicagoland company/person/maybe-local-reefer? that does steel stands for large tanks? If this should be posted in another forum, I apologize in advance and let me know where I should put it. Thanks!

How large of an aquarium are you setting up?

Have you ordered the aquarium yet? Most tank manufacturers will be willing to manufacture a stand, in either wood or steel. Though admittedly wood is more common if they only offer one or the other.

Anyways, you may want to ask your tank builder about that. If you haven't ordered it yet I can give you suggestions for at least a couple different higher end manufacturers that will sell a steal stand with a tank purchase, you'd have to PM me though.

I will be placing the order in the next 30 days, it will be 350-400g, still going over the space and which footprint will fit best. I sheepishly admit I did not ask the tank manufacturer (it's a toss up between two well known manufacturers members have used often) -- so I guess I'll start there. I would think, though, that if I could find a local to Chicago manufacturer for the stand I could save on the shipping for that item -- and possibly get that piece sooner. However "high end" doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence in that statement. ;-) It doesn't need to be pretty (as I plan on wrapping it in a cabinet), so if I were looking at more cost than the tank I'd likely start looking at the whole cinderblocks and I-beam route.
