Stepping off into the LED world

I have purchased my LED's they are in route. I will do a DIY on them and add it to my tank build out thread.

Aww yeah- I am following this! Love to hear why you choice that 'color' combo

I chose the Natural White to cover the white + low end of the red spectrum, I chose the Royal Blue for the Actinic look and selected the UV-Violet to complete the lower end of the 400nm spectrum and add a little Ultra Violet. Not true UV wavelengths but pretty close. The beauty of my design is it will be adjustable. I can change NW for Cool White or Violets for the Royals.

Just gonna play it by ear. Gonna build out an arduino as well.

So is the UV-Ultra Violet the same look as the 420nm in T-5, VHO or Compact Florescent? Kinda purplish?

Yes, they are in the 410-420nm wavelength
