I have some rocks from an old reef i had setup like a year ago. Now, i was interested in using them again, but im afraid that i might transfer some bad bacterium or algae. What should be done to make sure this doesn't happen? I've already placed the rocks in boiling water for an hour.

Don't grill/bake them if they're not 100% completely dry. Any moisture inside will turn to steam and the rocks will explode.

I wouldn't worry after what you've already done.

REALLY!!! COOL! I should try that!

I second the opinion that boiling would have killed off the plants. A safer, cheap, and effective way to kill is a bleach solution. A 1:10 solution of chlorox bleach and water will oxidize the life out of anything.
