Hi All,
I have a 300+ gallon acrylic tank (67 x 36 x 30 ) that is being buffed out and reconditioned this week (purchased used). The tank has dual overflows and is drilled with 4 x 1.5 inch drains and 5 x 1 inch returns. It's an odd configuration, so my fish guy and I are working on the plumbing plans. Here's the equipment I have so far: a 75 gallon acrylic sump and G4 skimmer (I think- not labeled but 24 inches high w/ Sedra 5000). The sump will have an ~30 gallon fuge with mangroves and chaeto, run on CF lighting. I have 2 2000 gph submersible pumps for the returns. AI LEDs will be ordered for lighting, and going with an APEX lite to control everything.
A couple of questions- a) anything seem way off so far in my descriptions? b) any hints for keeping the noise to a minumum. The tank will be in the family room with the TV (where our 125g is now) and would like to keep the sounds of rushing water and pumps down as much as possible.
A few pictures to show the limited progress thus far:
