Still can't locate him.

I know I have a mantis. I've been hearing the clicking for about 6 months now. Usually right after the lights go out and for the following few hours. I've had a few fish disappear as well as some shrimp and snails.

I just moved my entire tank today and looked at each rock individually as I transported the LR. I still couldn't find him. I have 160 lbs of LR so there's a lot to go through. I really don't want to set up the tank again permanently until I find him.

ARGH!

It took me a while to find mine too.....these guys are smart little buggers too!!

When I found the rock mine was in (finally saw him), I broke it open and found a network of tunnels and even a hidden entrance that was covered with some sand and a flap of rock (he was in there).

They are very interesting to have and watch, but sometimes not in the main display tank. There are many people here who may take it off your hands.......but like you said.....you need to catch him.

Maybe it could be a pistol shrimp, however you did say you've been missing some snails, shrimp and fish.....so probably not.

Ues intercepter. Its used for RED BUGS on SPS corals . It also kills all crabs and shrimps with a high enough dosage. Its a heartworm medication used for Dogs. you have to get from local vet or local reefer. You might already know all that if so , Sorry.
