Still closed

I have been having a algae problem lately. A few weeks ago I did a 5 gallon wc and syphoned as much hair algae as I could. After adding new water all my zoas, shrooms closed up. I have done 2 more small water changes and still closed. Ammonia, ph, nitrite and trates are all good. Starting to get a little worried. Any ideas?

75 with a 4 bulb t5. All zoas, shrooms, and anemone were doing very well before. Zoas have tripled in size since purchase.

My salinity has been stable. Does salt go bad?

what are your parameters, Alk, ph, DKH, temp etc....

are you matching the parameters of the water your adding same as your tank like temp, pH etc>

Salinity stays pretty well at 1.024. I use the plastic rectangular gizmo- not the most reliable but it's what I have at the moment.

Things are starting to look better. When I did my last maintaince I took out an old hob filter with a carbon sleeve. Last night I but it back in with new media and that seems to have made a difference. Not really sure what the chemical reaction is anypd why it's working. Thoughts? New bulbs are on the way, hoping that will help with what's left of the gha

UPDATE:
We installed a new RO unit for drinking water. The new unit puts some minerals back in the water, I guess they are good for us and bad for the tank. All my fish, most snails and my prized anemone died. I spent a good bit of time trying to clean up the mess. I am currently running tap water with a neutralizer additive. Most of the colonies are starting to extend, but none are open. Hair algae is still an issue for me.
Current Stats:
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate 0
Salinity 1.024 +-
PH 8.4
Temp 79-80
Calcium 500
Alkalinity 4.8 Meq/L 13.2 dKH
Magnesium 1300

Don't tell me you run carbon media. Take it out if you do.

I am running carbon to help with algae, although it isn't really making a noticeable difference lately. Will that effect the zoas? My tank was nice and healthy, just want it back to normal. I'll pull the carbon, any suggestions for hair algae besides scrubbing the rock?

RO water, and a good clean up crew. I am on the rebound from hair algae outbreak from using tap water with amquel. Look up "upward flow algae scrubber" super easy to make and supposed to be great at what they do. I am going to try adding one to a new sump I'm building to finish off the nuiscience algaes lingering.
