Still cyano??

Hello guys, tank has been up and cycles since Oct and still have these reddish spots in my sand bed. Is this cyano?,,, anything to do or just wait it out?

Sand bed looks a bit deep. This will be a continuing problem requiring attention if you do not like the "dirty" look. Siphon vacuum the substrate. I even suggest getting it down to 2" max.

Looks like a fairly normal sand bed to me..
I would expect some cyano/algae in it..

And yes thats cyano..

Also, if its a DSB, I would not disturb it, otherwise you will have a whole new set of problems.

Yup, that's a healthy looking tank....no touch
Make sure you keep your source water perfect...TDS 0....

Check your phosphate levels also.

That would drive me nuts. I would have Prime on standby,
1. vacuum the sand bed
2. Larger water change
3. Hit the tank with prime and bacteria (microbacter 7)
4. Chemiclean to make sure it doesn't come back
5. Large water change again
