I have STN from tips and the bases. I originally thought it might be due to alk swings but currently I am not dosing/kalk anything --just doing bi-weekly 7% water changes. (parameters are good, but will post later after i recheck today. The tank is 6-9 months old).

I have not seen AEFW eggs (though, i only have seen them on the internet). I did a revive dip on one of my larger, more injured colonies and saw this...
(it looks like it moves in a worm like, slithering, motion. I is is the size of a pin head.

The other colonies I dipped had nothing.
 
I have seen those pesky little boogers, would get frags from a buddy that had them. They don't seem to do damage to anything. Lugols Iodine, flatworm exit and prazi pro did not kill them. Would see them cruising around on the glass just like in the video and would squish them with fingers. Added some damsels and they would pick them off the glass, must taste good..lol.. Forgot all about them till this post, guess they just died off
