Why is it hard to dial in? I keep hearing that but I blame uneducated people more than actually being "hard" to dial in. It's all relative. I'm not dosing kalk and my PH stays up just fine, I'm running pellets and need my alk staying relatively low as well.
I do agree with you it's even better when you are jam packed with mature colonies, but I think it works with our without them.
