Stock List for a 120g mixed reef

I had a tank crash/disaster where I managed to lose all my fish and 90% of my corals. All I have left are some Zoa's, Tyree Toadstool, and a clam.

Most likely, the new tank will be lit by Natural Sunlight with Actinic/LED 9or T5) supplements.

Display is 48x22x30(tall) with a 25g sump (possible external fuge to be added in the future).

The only fish I KNOW I want to have in here are a pair of B&W Ocellaris clowns and some Rose BTA's.

Proposed stock list is as follows:
2 B&W Clowns
Powder Blue tang
2 Borbonius Anthias
Lawnmower Blenny
7-8 blue streak Cardinals (something that will school)
1 ORA Tank raised Mandarin (Available in June)

I think they are the best schooling fish you can get. The more you have the better they look, I think. The only problem is they are terrible shippers. I would order 10-12 and you'll probably end up with 7-8.

Well, they don't really school, no aquarium fish will. However, at night, if you have moonlights, they will shoal. Otherwise, they simply pair off during the day and hang out.

Yes, they are terrible shippers. Assume a 50% success rate.

as stated above i dont think any fish will school in a aquarium but the Occasional shoal will look cool

I thought I would get a 'school of cardinals' a few years back...and as stated already, they paired off and instead of having a group of 10 I had 5 groups of 2. lol

And the 120 is going to be too small for a pbt.

Too small for the PBT? I have seen many 120g with small and medium PBT and similar tangs successful for years

Yes too small. I guess it all depends on what you consider 'successful'.

Thanks for the feedback on the cardinals. Were these the "glass" or Longspine version, or the regular Banghii and Pajama ones?

The 20 that I purchased were bangaii. And pajama cardinals get HUGE. lol
