Hey I have a 4'x2'x2' 120 gallon. It's a mixed reef with mainly LPS and SPS and just a few softies.
Currently in the tank:
yellow watchman goby
atlantic blue tang
regal tang

Going in the tank, in this order: (Set up a 30 gallon QT with DT water)
2 snowcasso clowns
xmas wrasse
mccoskers flasher wrasse
borbonius anthia
Mag foxface
*maybe another wrasse..melanarus(possibly not good with christmas though?)
*Possibly trade out the regal for a purple tang
mandarin a year or so from now

I am going to qt for about 4 weeks or so and am still undecided about treating with medicine if no diseases are evident. Also have eggcrate on the tank and might put screen on top of the eggcrate to make sure no wrasses jump. Let me know what you think

A regal tank requires a much larger tank as they grow rapidly to one foot.

Thats a lot of fish for 120 gallons! I won't bother if your will be keeping enough filtration to handle that bio load, but you do know a 30 gal. QT is nothing close enough to hold a tang?...you'll be doing more damage to them than anything good.

not QT everything you buy is a really bad idea, especially when it comes to tangs. tangs have weaker protective slime coat and are more prone to parasitic infections than other types of fish. everyday fish disease forum is filled with posts like "ich is in my reef tank now what do i do?" and these can be prevented 100% with proper QT use.

I think all of the fish you want to get are fine except for the regal and atlantic blue tangs. both of these tangs get really large and unsuited for a 4' aquarium. the atlantic blue tang, especially, is one of the largest tangs and can reach 15" in length and should be in an 8' aquarium. the purple tang will do well in your 120 though so that's a good option.

How does this sound? Good stocking list and compatible tank mates?
Bioload seem ok? Can I add more? Should I take some back.

chevron tangs get 10 inches i think. A kole tang would be nice, purple tangs *can* be aggressive. What is a Melancara gramma?
