Im finishing up plumbing my sump and will be pickup up cured live rock next week. This gives me time to get a list of fish to work with. BTW i have a 150 tank 50 gallon sump with a nwr150 recirc skimmer, if I need a bigger skimmer so be it. This will be my 4th successful tank build now

Fish I would like

Regal Angel or other large angel
Volitan Lion
Longhorn Cow
Trigger - Picasso or Clown
Zebra Moray
Blonde Naso
Porcupine Puffer
Foxface
Butterflys 2

Fish I can live without would be the naso, the foxface tends to do well cleaning unwanted algae, and the moray since i would hardly ever see him anyways. Fish I would also consider would be fish only wrasse.

Any input or where I should start cutting back stalking.

Lionfish and large angels are bad juju, as are non-pelagic triggers and lionfish. Both will harass the lion to death.

Also, I think with your mix of fish, it will be too tight for a Naso sp. tang...they get large.

+1. Angels and triggers are very bad tank mates for lions. Their propensity of continually picking at things that flow around will eventually drive lions to stress and death.

Porcupine puffers and naso tangs get too big for a 150. I wouldn't keep them in anything less than an 8-foot, 300g long term. Porcupine puffers are cute but get pretty big and aggressive. I think for a 150g the appropriate species to get are dogface or panda puffers. They are mild tempered and only get to a foot long.

Revised stock list OK?

Regal Angel
Trigger - Picasso or Clown
Zebra Moray
Foxface
Hippo Tang
Butterflys 2
Bannerfish 2

What kind of flow should I plan for with FOWLR, I have a mag7 for my return, probably flowing in the range of 450gph after loss. I was planning on swapping 2 k4's from my reef (upgrade those to evo 1400's and throw a wavemaker in there). This going to be enough turn over?
