Hello,

I know this is a reef fishes forum and obviously some of my fish are not reef safe...but this tank will not have any coral in it I just would like to get some opinions as I left this in the Fish Only forum and didn't get very many replies so let me know what you think.

Below are the fish I would like to keep:
Blonde Naso Tang
Emperor Angelfish
THE ABOVE ARE NONE NEGOTIABLE
These are negotiable:
Achilles Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Flame Angel
Saddle Back Butterflyfish
Vrolik Wrasse (male)
Mystery Wrasse
Christmas Wrasse
Green mandarin
Scribbled Angelfish
Pair of clowns probably either B&W or maybe one of the large species

the tank is 8ft by 30' by 30"

From the numbers I have seen the tank is not "overstocked" but I am not 100% trusting those numbers over experience so....lmk what you think

Also will any of the above compete with the mandarin for pods?

Any compatbility issues?

Also if you have any recommendations on addition order or on what species of clowns I should keep lets hear them....I dont want to pay above $100 for the clowns....

Thanks
Zack

Sounds ok to me.

I would probably drop one of the smaller tangs. I'd also drop the mystery wrasse just to avoid conflicts with your other wrasses. The mandarin seems a little out of place to me with the rest of the stocking but in a tank of that size it should be fine once your population of pods is established.

Blonde Naso and Emperor were at the top of my list too... I still don't have either. I did attempt the naso a few times but none made it though QT. Then, I started feeling like even 300+ gallons is a little small for them (but definitely a better home than they'll usually be seen in). I would still like an Emperor but I don't know about my coral situation... a Christmas Island Emperor would be hard to resist.

What is so special about the Christmas Island location may I ask?

So are you saying to drop either the achilles or the PBT because of potential conflicts or because of stocking size?

Would you recommend any other fish to be include/taken out or changed out?
(I will take into consideration about the mystery wrasse)
