Stocking 560G FO tank

HI All,

In the process of planning a 560G FO tank. Will contain a small amount of LR. Plan on having a lot of swimming space.

MY fish list looks like this at the moment:-

1 x Emperor angel
1 x blue line angel
1 x naso tang (lipstick)
1 x blonde naso tang
1 x clown surgeon
1 x Sohol Surgeon
1 x yellow tang
1 x blue tang
1 x Picasso Trigger (or clown trigger)?

Would the above be to much in a 560G tank? Will run a refugium and a large beckett skimmer. For water motion will most likely use 2 x Tunze 6200 and a wave box (posibly with an extension kit)

I was also thinking about a large lionfish but i think it may get nipped fin nipped by the angels and trigers.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

it is a large tank, but i think the aggression between the sohol and clown tang will be to much. Other then that i think it looks good~

I agree. I wouldn't attempt to keep these two fish together. Not even in a 2,000 gallon aquarium.

ive had 3 tangs in 75 gallon before but the key was to pick one from each shape so that the fighting was kept to a minimum.

ex. clown tang, sailfin tang, kole tang.

i dont know if i would put 2 naso's in the same tank either.

keep tangs in odd numbers to avoid aggression problems

i think it be fine, a guy in my area has a sohol and clown toegther.

i would stay with a picasso trigger. every man and his dog has a clown and picasso look must better IMO

it is a large tank.. but i still think the clown and sohol will be to much. Maybe one out of the 2.

Nasos can go together if its male female (ie: 1 with streamers and 1 with non)

why not od yellow, blue, dussemeir or achilles or something, maybe a powder blue.

Thanks all for the input.

Tank dimensions will be 120 Long, 36 wide, 30 high.

I think the Picasso will be a good addition. I may stick to one Naso tang as well.

Would you agree that it would be wise to leave out the Large Lion Fish.

Cheers

Naso's are not a problem... they are one of the exceptions where you can pretty much have any 2 or more naso's together & they get along fine! I would do a small & big one though just to be safe :)

The clown - sohal usually doesn't work however they might be OK due to the size. I would be worried the clown wouldn't make it though.... just add him first & get the sohal a LOT smaller :)

trigger wise.... I went with a hawian/black durgeon trigger. Zero attitude & LOTS of energy!!!! Mine is 10+ in long & is a complete whimp.... they actually have VERY cool colors once they get established in a tank, they usually look like crap at the store :)

with that size tank.... I would think you could have quite a bit more fish in there :)

puffers are VERY cool! AWESOME personality!
