Stocking a 125 gallon mixed reef.

Over the next few weeks, I will be setting up a 125 gallon mixed reef... In the tank I would like to keep all different coral species. The current fish I have that will be going in are:
-OC clown pair
-falco hawkfish
-spotted cardinal
-lawnmower blenny
-small engineer goby

I should have a month and a half before I actually start adding livestock, but I want plenty of time to think of my current fishes possible tank mates...must be somewhat reef safe and have to get along with my current fish and/or future fish. Any ideas welcome. Thanks!

Those are beautiful! Although, they eat snails, crabs, shrimp, etc... I need a CUC so that won't work...thanks though.

Forget naso tangs, they get to be 18" long, they won't be able to turn around without folding themselves in the 125. Get a yellow eye kole tang, gorgeous and the right size, and the right price at around $40.

Awesome....very "poppy" if ya what I mean....could I also put in a powder blue or brown tang or whitecheek tang as well? I love the looks and attitudes of them.

get a foxface. Either the One Spot or Lo are usually under $30. They eat any kind of macro algae so great if you get bubble algae or hair algae. Kind of timid but they get better about that over time. Grow to 6 or 7 inches and really neat to look at.

Ooh, I'm a 15 year old reefer on a budget... Any other cool tangs or anything else hopefully under 60 bucks?

Nice a 15yr old with a 125g tank!!! I wish I could have had a tank that big that young, If that would have been the caase with all the upgrading ive done id be at a 300g+ tank. lol Cant wait to see pics!

A fox face is already on my list, but I'm not sure exactly what kind.

Yay more young reefers :)
I highly recommend yo don't get the engineer goby. A good tang would be a yellow tang, bright and colorful. Some wrasse are always nice too.

I couldn't pass up on one for $4.99 on Black Friday, and as long as your base rocks are secure, you are fine. I will end up getting a few tangs in there.

Looks like you like tangs. If you look at the list in my sig, I do too.

First off, look here for tangs and tank size recommendations: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1946007

Next, be aware that tangs are particularly prone to carry and/or be sick with marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans). Always QT them, and I also suggest prophylactic Ich treatment for tangs.

Having more than one tang can be a challenge. Make sure they are different shapes, and that your tank is mature enough to handle simultaneous introduction. Adding them at different times can be done, but it's more tricky.

Powder blue, brown, and white cheek look very similar in shape, and may fight one another. I would suggest a kole tang, and one of the above three, and stop there as far as tangs for your 125.

HTH!!

i love my powder blue he was a little bigger than a quarter when i got him. he hosts in my acropora (hilarious to see him sleeping and hiding) and he eats cyclopeze he is now almost 3in and still flies around the tank eating tiny cyclopeze and hosts in my ever shrinking acropora(cause hes growing faster than the acro)

I have a 28 right now and am super excited that I can get tangs. I willlvprobably get the blue or whitecheek, and probably a kole eye.
