stocking a 240 gallon

I need some ideas for my 240 gallon tank (8 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet).

I have one fish so far, a 6 inch volitan lion fish.

My next fish I really want is a sailfin tang.

Other than that I'm not sure. I've only had small tanks with small fish so I'm not sure what I would like in a larger tank. With the lionfish I can't have shrimp or small crabs which I don't really care about but I do plan to have corals so the fish have to be semi-reef safe.

Are there triggers that are reef safe?

What fish would you put in a tank that size?

Triggers will sample anything, definately not reef safe. Really, Lions aren't normally considered "reef safe" like dwarf angels. By your lighting and calcium reactor I see you are headed toward a reef, so maybe a LARGE yellow stripe, maroon clownfish. Preferably with an anemone in this case. A LARGE hawkfish is a possibility, also not truely reef safe. Maybe Big eye soldierfish. Hogfish and LARGE wrasses round out the list that comes to mind. And of course the tang. IMO a Lionfish seriously limits your choices. Any of the above that do get caught will be an expensive treat. Also, the LARGE size required means large fish poop. Even in a large tank, that degrades water quality. Not so much a problem in fish only, but your corals won't like it. Fish only would give you alot more choice in fish, Angels, Butterflys, Triggers, Groupers, Puffers, Grunts and more. But your lights scream reef. Captive reefs are usually populated by small, schooling fish like Anthias, Chromis, Cardinals, with some Tangs, Gobies and others mixed in. Please don't consider my post negative, I'd just hate to see you feeding your Lion imported piscine snack foods. Good Luck, I'm following along to see what you decide upon.

Well, my 240 is a FOWLR and houses a Raccoon Butterfly, Blueface Angel, Iridis Wrasse, Hippo Tang, Whiteface Tang, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, Candy Hogfish, Argi Angel and a few Cleaner shrimp..
You kinda limit your choices with the Lionfish;)

There is a tanG that looks a lot like a sailfin but it comes from the Red Sea (Zebrasoma desjardinii) BEAUTIFUL FISH LOVE MINE
