Stocking a 75 with 30 gallon sump

Hi, I'm setting up my first salt water tank and would like suggestions on a stocking list :)
So far I definitely want a pair of clowns, and would like a kole tang and a one spot fox face. What other fish would be compatible and not too difficult for a beginner?

As a beginner, I would not get a tang. They are ich prone and the tank size is borderline. Instead try clowns gobies blennies and fire fish

Good to know. Would a fox face be okay?

As long as you're aware the dorsal fins can give you a nasty sting, and that fully grown they can become very territorial.

I would actually be more concerned about the Foxface then the Tang. Tangs are susceptible to ich, but so are rabbitfish (foxface) and with the Foxface you have to contend with the poisoned barb that can inflict a painful wound. They also tend to be a little more aggressive from my experience than a Kole Tang. Either fish should be quarantined before you place it in your display tank, I always use the tank transfer method with all tangs due the risk of ich. Do you plan on keeping corals? If so that narrows your fish selections a bit, so without that piece of information I'm reluctant to advise additional fish.

Kole tangs are a very easy fish to keep my grandparents have kept one in a 30 gallon biocube for a few years with no problems it has not got ich once but soon they are giving it to me. It's going in my 200 gallon predator tank i will be setting up soon

Sorry, I forgot to say I'm planning on doing fish only.

Clowns are obviously a good choice.

The kole tang is borderline, due to tank size, but probably okay.

One spot foxface: Fishbase has them listed at about 8" max, but I'm sure I've seen bigger specimens. You might want to consider a lemonpeel angel instead. They are known coral nipper (not an issue in your fowlr), but are gorgeous and would give you a bigger fish with that bright yellow color.

Some other fishes to consider:

flame hawk
orchid dottyback
yellow tail damsel
melanurus wrasse
pearscale butterfly
valantini puffer

Thanks, the angel's a great idea!
