Stocking Help

Hoping someone can help here I've done a lot of research and gotten some mixed reviews.

Currently I have a 20 gallon nuvo fusion with 15 to 20 lbs of live rock and 20 lbs of live sand.

currently stocked with various corals a cleaner shrimp and a moderately sized cleanup crew.

A few weeks ago i added in a 2.5" yellow watchman from quarentine, i have a pair of false clowns (2 inches) that should be going in over the next few days.

Question is while i have the QT up and cycled I was considering picking up a small 6 line wrasse to add some more color to the tank. I've read anywhere from 3 to 5 fish maximum for this size tank can I get away with 4?

I currently do weekly water changes in the 15 to 20% range.

Ive heard the 6 line can get pretty aggressive.

It all depends on the type of fish that you have that dtermine how many you can have. A goby doesnt count as much towards the bioload as a bigger fish. So with two clown and a goby you can certainly add another fish.

While ive never had issues of a 6-line wrasse being mean there are plenty of people that would dissagree with me. Imo the smaller the tank though isnt gonna help. While you will be fine adding another fish i would skip the 6 line and go for a cardinal, blenny, ect.

I agree ditch the 6 line and I suggest a Golden Midas Blenny. Since I got mine its become my favorite fish.

Also you can drop the water changes to 10% per week or 20% every two weeks since you don't have any corals. All you're doing is wasting money with as much as you're doing. IMO

+1^^^..If I am not mistaken, shouldn't the Midas require a 30 gallon or bigger. They max out around 5-6"?

Yes but I think that is an overreach on tank size. I've got one in a 40 and it really stays in one hole in a rock and doesn't really swim much. I could see it in a smaller tank, that's why I suggested it. I had a 20 long and it would have been fine in there. But yes they get to about 6" full grown.

When I say it doesn't swim much it pretty much is out most of the day but staying to one side of the tank. It swims constantly and is beautiful to watch. They are also pigs LOL but have the cutest face.

A royal gramma would be a nice addition, instead of the 6 line. I have one, and mine is actually fine most of the time but this is rare from everything I have read and from other people's accounts. You also would not be able to catch it if you
Put it in. I personally wouldn't risk it, not in a 20 gallon. Royal gramma would add some awesome color, or you could do a firefish.

looking at live aquaria the midas blenny and Royal Gramma both need 30 gallons? Not that i necessarily believe everything they write...

This is true. The clowns you plan on adding also require more space. If you are willing to only do the clowns and watchman that would be ideal. I personally would not do the Midas blenny. But I can tell you from experience that my royal gramma mainly stayed in front of his rock, and didn't swim around the tank much. I would not hesitate to put a gramma in a 20 long, but that's just me. What are the dimensions of your tank?

My 20 long was 30x12x12

My 40b is 36x18x17
