Stocking list order for 32 bio cube

32 bio cube set up and cycled with a sump. Plan is 2 occiaris clowns (all ready in there) fire fish, flame Angel, yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp pair, and a six line Wrasse do you see any problems in what order should I go in as far as stocking was planning on flame angel going in last and as for the others I do not know any help would be greatly appreciated

Setup seems fine IMO. Just watch that 6 line wrasse, they are known to be bullies in certain circumstances.

I have a 28g nano, so very similar in size. To be completely honest, I have two clowns, a flame hawkfish, and a purple pseudochromis. I feel my tank is crowded. I notice the lack of swimming space and every once and a while, I will notice a bit of frustration and aggression. I would most definitely not put in the six line and flame angel. I would pick one. Then you should be okay. Down the line, I am positive the six line or flame angel will flip a switch and become extremely territorial and aggressive. The six line is probably a bit more dangerous. However, a 32 is a bit small for a flame and may become aggressive over time due to the small swimming space anyway. I recommend 50 and up for dwarf angels and obviously proceed with caution if you are going to have corals. Some will also chime in about their horror stories with six line wrasses going rogue. Hope this info helps. Might be better off skipping both the flame and the six line. But I would most definitely not do both!

Six-line wrasses are among the most regretted purchases for reefers.

I would not put a flame angel in a 32 biocube. There are a couple dwarf angels that are smaller, but that would probably still be pushing it.

Clowns, firefish, and goby will be fine.

Might be a bit crowded. If you're set on an angel fish...a cherub angelfish might be a better choice since they're usually smaller.

Concur with what has been said. I have almost the identical tank and stock, but a cherub instead of the wrasse and flame angel. The orchid Dotyback (which is what I assume you mean by purple psuedochromis) went in last, and he and the cherub had to work out some issues, but now they get along fine.

So should I do the six line wrasse last instead of flame angel?

You can do that. Just keep an eye on him. Had one that bullied my jawfish to death. I ended up cursing him and in the morning the CUC was working on his body :fun4:

So nothing to do with overall system water Quantity just the fact that they're both aggressive I do plan on having coral and was already prepared to keep a very close eye on the flame Angel honestly it's one of my favorite fish but thank you for your advice I will think on it for sometime as I want to go slow with this tank anyway but definitely avoiding getting both of them now !

Why is that I have never had one before just really like the look this is my second reef started with a 10 gallon what would you suggest to go with those four I do have a 15 gallon sump/fuge so total of 45-ish gallons in the system

I wasn't necessarily set on an angel fish more so I was set on the flame Angel specifically but it looks like that might not be the best idea.

Yeah man, sadly this is the issue when it comes to smaller tanks. Aggression becomes a serious factor due to being crowded and territorial issues. Two clowns, a firefish, and the watchman goby would be great. I would advise you make sure you have some sort of cover on the tank as well, firefish may jump.

Yeah I guess I'm going To have to start a 3rd tank lolBut I do have the stock top I'm going with the steves led retrofit kit for corals I want (need)
T

Remember, it isn't only an issue of aggression and water quality. Some fish just need more swimming room (like tangs).

If you're looking for advice and your mind isn't already made up, here's mine. I had a flame angel in my 32BC for a long time (didn't take advice) and he did great for awhile and I loved him... but he started getting more and more aggressive over time as he got bigger. To the point that he was tearing up everything else in the tank... Not to mention one day he decided about $300 worth of acans would make a great snack. I was so ****ed. I would strongly advise against one in our size tank. In lieu of the six line, get a Christmas or malenarus wrasse instead. They look even better than the six and have awesome personalities and aren't dicks. They are bigger, but if you substitute the Christmas wrasse for the flame and six, you'll be golden. I hope you take this advice because I know you'd be VERY happy going this direction.

First of all beautiful 32 bio cube second I have learned way too many things in life the hard way reefing I would rather not be one of them so any advice that seems to be good advice I will follow and general consensus says I should Definitely stay away from both so thats definitely what I'm going to do
It also appears that I should stay away from either.
I do really like the look of the Christmas wrasse as well as the malenarus wrasse is the latter of the two the same thing as the hoeven's wrasse if not what is the difference? Also if not Would the hoeven's be a good candidate for my setup?
Thanks again!
