Just finished cycling and ready to add some critterrs. Would like to know if you could stock a 65g tank (with skimmer rated to 180g) what fish would you put in it how many, would you go with schools or 1 show fish and a bunch of small ones etc.

Though its cycled I would start off with a school of chromis maybe two clowns for about a month to see how they all do. Some chromis may die off but its okay because they are cheaper fish then once you have any live over a month or two, you can move up to more valued fish. Just my opinion. That's what I did and now I have two blue star leopard wrasse which some or all say is a difficult fish.

I would go with a hardy species that you would like to keep in the long run and start building up a clean up crew. Chromis are cool, but IME do have a tendency to pick each other off after awhile. I started with a clown in my 75 and still have that. Later on I added a few wrasses and an orchid dotty back.

IMO - Best fish to add would be a Yellow Eye Kole Tang. They are always out and about and pecking at the glass, sand, and rock. :) If it were me, I would add the Kole first.

I dont have one currently but one of the best fish I have had in my reef was a fox face.
did a good job on the green stuff and was generally friendly. I liked him much better than the yellow tangs I have had over time.
