removed all the tangs from my tank . need suggestion for re-stocking my 240g reef ( 8x2x2 ). looking to add several small "friendly " fish to the current stock list . the only larger fish will be a kole tang ( I have had good luck with them being friendly in the past ) and it will be added last . NOTE: all fish must be o.k. with shrimp and other inverts . I keep a 3-4" sandbed , lots of liverock , and skim heavy . thanks

this is my current stock list ( 15 fish and the tank still looks empty) and a couple fish that I know I would like to add .

1. pair of false percs ( they swim the whole 8' tank now that the tangs are gone )
2. 4 x lrg blue/green chromis ( I suspect these of messing with my anthias , if I confirm this they will be leaving )
3. lyretail anthias harem (1 male , 4 females only aggressive is within their group)
4. pair of yellow watchman gobies
5. lawnmower blenny
6. leopard wrasse ( I think he's still in there , it has been in hiding since adding it to the DT 4 days ago )
7. radiant wrasse ( will be added this weekend )
8. yellow coris wrasse ( ? not sure if this will go in the DT or my frag tank )
9. kole tang ( will be the last fish added )

Well, all of the flasher wrasses would do well. I am not convinced that blue throat triggers will be totally invert safe but that is not from personal experience.

thanks . a pair of blue throat triggers were part of my original stocking list . gorgeous fish , but I have decided I do not want to add any larger fish . would the flashers be o.k. with the leopard, radiant , and yellow coris ? I have taken a liking to wrasses lately .

I think flashers would be fine with the fish listed above. They are pretty passive fish. I would be cautious about the yellow coris tho, don't think they are always reef safe

I trust my bluethroats and crosshatches with my inverts. They get rather large and require a lot of food.

I second the suggestion of a Genicanthus Angelfish pair. Watanabei are my favorite.

I also think a pair of Genicanthus Angels would do great. check out the bellus, very nice looking IMHO. What about some cardinals like bangai or pajama? A foxface would do good, but they do get to about 9", so not the smallest fish. There are also royal grammas.
