Stomatella Snails Good or Bad?

I was getting some algea for my sump and it is loaded with stomatella snails. Do they pose any problems for my reef? They would be in my sump/fuge in my basement. I also have some hungry crabs I would have in there that might keep them under control. Any thoughts?

They are my favorite snails, but if you have cleaner shrimp they will eat them.

To clarify - The shrimp will eat the snails? Or the snails will attack the shrimp?

I do have cleaner shrimp but only in the display tank. The Snails would be in the basement fuge/sump setup. If they over populate and the shrimp eat the snails I could live with that. If the snails eat the shrimp I wouldnt like that.

I have never had one eat a shrimp... they are good guys. My wrasse does like to make snacks of them though

Do cleaner shrimp eat other snails? I have been noticing alot of my turbo snails getting tipped over quite frequently lately.

I havent noticed my cleaner shrimp eating any snails. The few hermits I have ate some snails for their shells, but I have over 100 snails and 5 hermits, so Im not too worried.

I credit the dozens of stromatella snails in my fuge for why its so clean. They even live in the cheato. Somehow they got inside my skimmer, its kinda funny to see them in there.
