Stomatella Snails

With all of the threads lately and Stomatella snails being mentioned thought I would share an online vendor that actually sells them. I was looking around ReefCorner.com after seeing the company mentioned in a different thread and found they actually sell them. 20 for $10, they also seem to have good prices on corals of all types.

Stomatella snails are great cleaners of algae all over the tank from top to bottom and breed easily

I do not have any affiliation with this company.

wow nice, I have a huge black one and a single brown like the pictures. both hitchhikers and I prefer them over mex snails because of the bumping around into corals.

Does say 99$ minimum order for livestock though

That's pretty cool. I've never seen them for sale before.

They can be pretty reclusive. I never new I had any until I found one and then another and a third just recently last month. That's after having my system up since around 2009. Keep an eye out on your glass at night a few hours after the lights go out. That's when I found mine. Have seen them one more time since then.

My dottyback eats them out of my 90g and my fairy wrasse eats them out of the 150g :( only place they live well is in my sump/fuge

I patrol my LFS's tanks for them and they pick them out for me. I may just order some so I can get a good population going again.
