I started last night and finished up the front and right side. Nothing is under the stand at all, and the sump room is in the garage behind it. Its finally coming all together... How do you think it looks?

ill do it the same way, but being its so low compared to other stands and tanks, I cant hinge it. stone will be on the top too. I'll 45 them and i'll have to pull of the front portion to access the tank. I just have no clue how to incorporate hinges with the stone there.

How heavy is that going to be? :worried2:

It will be around 100 lbs up top... They are air stones, 75 percent lighter than stone. Plus i'll be screwing in the top to the wall to keep it from moving. I don't think the weight will be an issue at all... I did some research about max weight and some people had 150 lbs on top with no issues at all. I hope they were right lol.. I'll upload the finished product when I get to it. Once sand is in and the rocks it should be different than most..

Very nice! I'm redoing my stand with the same stone, now i know it will be worth the work!
Thanks for posting this!
