Stopping Micro Bubbles!

I know this topic has been covered before but how would be the easiest way to stop micro bubbles coming out from my SCA302 skimmer into my DT. I have attached a photo of my sump currently I don't use the black sponge as seen in the photo due to nitrate trap and just another thing to clean. I also do t want to empty sump and create baffles etc. looking for a quick fix. I have cj checked for air getting into the return line but everything is sealed. Thanks

Looks clean, give it time to break in. Also you want to set it to a dryer skim.

If all fails, you could try putting a filter sock on the discharge part of the skimmer. that should help as well.

Would that filter sock be a permanent fix or would I have to clean and replace every so often which would kinda suck

You need to give the bubbles time to get to the surface and pop. Turning down the flow of the return would help a little bit (but you don't want to do that). You can try to add foam in the baffle you have (which you did and you removed). You can add baffles to force the bubbles to the surface, or you can create more space between the skimmer and return to give the bubbles more time.

Will place the skimmer towards the rear of the sump next to filter sock and place a filter sock by the skimmer discharge to stop bubbles? But that means another sock to change! Wish there was a DIY to stop/reduce micro bubbles drastically

Spaced out baffles are a sure fire way to get rid of micro bubbles

If you push the skimmer all the way to the left you definitely have room for a set of baffles. It looks like you'd be able to put them an inch and a half a part. Your return pump is right where the water enters, and you don't have any room there.

Are you choking your skimmer at all in the air line? Mine makes super fine bubbles like that when the line gets some salt build up in the intake. Try to adjust the intake to produce bigger bubbles

Is your skimmer supposed to be throwing bubbles out of the top of the return? I've never seen one that makes a bubble fountain like that.

no, its not gonna be a permanent fix and you will need to clean it. I think the only permanent fix would be to add more baffles to your sump like suggested by others. not supper hard but will require some time and effort.
also in my opinion you are getting bubbles not only from the skimmer, but also from the water fall effect created between the two dividers which are now without the sponge to break the fall. so putting dividers right after the skimmer might "not" resolve the problem fully. You would need a divider between the two you have.
Easiest solution in my opinion would be to put the black sponge back in and wash it once a week compared to adding the baffles.

It's a SCA302 Skimmer the MFG is SCA it's a knockoff Bubble Magnus and from what I have read and seen that's the way it works. It has been working this way from day one but today it has been acting even more micro bubbles! I changed filter socks today and before changing I feed the tank and corals Zooplankton maybe the food has it acting up? All the lines on the skimmer are clean and clear. It's a very simple unit which I like doesn't have all the bells and whistles. The skimmer only has one adjustment where you can dry skim or wet skim. How should i do the bubble trap you can post a mock drawing

maybe move the skimmer further left and put a ball of chaeto in between the skimmer and the first baffle. something for the bubbles to run into at least. if you don't want to wedge another baffle in there.

I was also thinking of moving skimmer all the way to left and moving the large piece of reef saver rock that you can see because of the filter sock right before the water moves its way over to the return side
