yesterday i actually got my shipment of 40 hermits in, and about 5 or 6 of them weren't in shells, right when they hit the ground my scarlet cleaner shrimp went to town man, it was like a buffet.. lol it was amusing

I was looking at my tank at three o’clock in the morning with a flashlight. One of my room mates was a girl. She got up to get a drink. All she saw was a guy in his boxers with a flashlight in her living room. She was a little more than startled.

i tryed fixing a flow pump after a night out the rest is history! at least 5 gallons spilled onto the floor needless to say by the time i went to bed the sun was coming up

One of my Firefish disappered, I assumed it died.
The Firefish shows up in my sump 4 months later.
I figured out the fish had been in the overflow the whole time.

I have a coral beauty angel that feels the need to introduce itself to every new item I put in the tank. Last week, I added 2 new corals... the fish went up to each, then turned around and backed up it's tail and gently brushed each coral. The other day, I added a few new shells for the hermits and again, the angel fish had to go to each shell and say hello with it's tail.

The best part is the perplexed look the angel gives each item before doing the tail thing. Kinda funny actually.

Four months?!? thats incredible! how did it live without feedings?

When I would feed the fish. Food would end up in the overflow.

I was surprised to say the least...

A guy in our club has 2 cardinal fish. He found a baby cardinal in his overflow. He didnt even know they were male and female lol.
Plus he left it in there. I saw it and it's getting big. He also found others now so his fish had babies without him knowing.
I found that amazing.

As for funny I have alot of dumb blonde moments with my tank lol.
I wanted to clean my remora skimmer and thought oh I don't need to turn it off to unscrew the screw. IT's a H.O.B. and I undid the screw and water was shooting like a fountain all over my living room like a Lucy episode.

kass

I used to use this really old heater my dad gave me from back in the day (15 years old ish). I used it when mixing up WC's. Well, one day I reached into the bucket as it was mixing and ZAP! The heater was malfunctioning and the damn thing electrichuted (sp?) me. Nothing bad, cept a rough wake-up call...oh and the myth about your hair standing up ...its not a myth.

I turned off the tap from my overflow to see if my skimmer was putting micro bubbles into the sump and forgot to turn off the return pump, had my head under the display watching the sump when a ton of water hit my back. So turned off return pump, cleaned up water, put head under display to turn return back on, was looking at sump thinking the water level is getting low, didn't think I lost that much when another flood hits my back, doh forgot to turn on the overflow tap.
