storing live rotifers

whats the way to go about storing some live rotifers in a fridge ?
or can it even be done ?

Glad Fresh Protect bags from the grocery store, or Kordel breathable bags, or an open bottle laid on its side so it doesn't spill.

I have found with some rudimentary experiments, that air is all important.

Filter them, put them in some fresh live phyto, and stick them in the fridge so they can get some air, and they should last a week easy.

When you take them out, for at least the first three days of culturing, make sure you harvest half the culture each day. That will very effectively reduce the dead ones that will foul your culture like nothing else.

In addition, rotting rots really reek!

Cheers,
Kathy
