Hey, guys. Wondering whats up with my welsophyllia. It never opens when the light is on. Although when its early morning and the lights have been out for hrs, it is filled up with water and happy as can be. When i bought it, it was opened with the light on??? I have had it for months and never has it opened up in the light. are welsophyllia nocternal? at first thought the problem was low lighting but now i am running a 2X250W 15K MH sunpod. plenty of light now!!!!

Maybe too much light as they don't need intense lighting. What lighting was it under when you bought it?
Halides i suppose, it was purchased from Aquahut in there coral tank. I think they run a sunpod under there as well. the piece is not up high near the light its in the lower 25% range. I know its living, just more curious if anyone else has a one that stays closed during the day and opens during the night time. It wont open every day either, but tissue is fine.
