Strange zoa behavior

I have a little colony of pink zoas and recently they've begun to look like the ones on the right of the pic I attached (thos aren't mine). The head part looks like a dome and the skirt gets really long and curly (unlike the pic), I had never seen them do it before until I moved them closer to the light (48 w50/50 PC's in a nanocube). Is there something wrong or is it just a strange reaction to the light or something else?

stress causes them to turn bell shape. i dont know if your yellow ones are a type of pe's but its a normal thing with pe's when stressed

Agreed, typical behavior for this type of paly. I have had it a few times in my tank and they seem to just bounce back in a day or two to a few days.
